Pool Rules and Regulations
Lifeguarding carries immense responsibility for the safety and lives of swimmers. Codes of conduct are clearly displayed on poolside. The Centre has adopted the following rules and guidelines which you must know and apply as appropriate:-
No running
No shouting/screaming
No swearing
No ducking
No petting
No bombing
No diving in less than 1.5m of water
No swimmers in learner pool
No acrobatics/somersaults/back flips etc.
No snorkels and masks allowed in public sessions (specialises sessions only)
No food allowed in pool hall/changing areas (exept during swimming galas)
No throwing of items other than balls
No chewing gum
No toys, balls, rafts allowed in main pool (specialised sessions only)
No toys, balls, mats, equipment to be left lying around
No-one under the influence of alcohol or drugs allowed into pools
No bathers allowed into pool stores
No swinging from water cannons
No spraying water from water cannons
No bathers to interfere with emergency equipment
No playing games etc. (unless controlled by staff)
No unruly/boisterous bahaviour
No glass bottles in pool hall/changing areas
No smoking in pool hall/changing areas
No entry to bathers unless wearing a suitable costume
No bathers shall enter pool hall without first having paid for and obtained the appropriate ticket.
No bathers to be allowed to annoy other pool users.
No under 8's to be admitted unless accompanied by a responsible adult
No pool users to leave clothing etc. in cubicles
No racing/speed swimming during public sessions
No unclean persons
Access barred to those with infectious skin disorders
